The Problem
Inadequate Monitoring
Traditional blood pressure monitoring is intermittent, providing only snapshots rather than continuous data needed for effective hypertension management.
Limited Battery Life
Current wearable solutions rely on batteries that require frequent recharging, limiting continuous monitoring capabilities.
Poor User Compliance
Bulky, uncomfortable devices lead to poor patient compliance and inconsistent monitoring, compromising treatment effectiveness.
1.28 BILLION adults affected by hypertension worldwide
Only 42% have their condition under control
Leading Risk Factor for cardiovascular disease and premature death globally
Our Solution
Introducing PulseSense: A revolutionary passive, skin-mounted blood pressure monitoring system
- Battery-less Operation: Powered by external RF energy, eliminating the need for charging and enabling true continuous monitoring
- Comfortable Form Factor: Flexible, skin-mounted sticker placed over the radial artery for unobtrusive, continuous wear
- Direct Pressure Sensing: MEMS pressure sensor directly measures arterial pressure for clinical-grade accuracy
- Seamless Integration: Wireless data transmission to smartphone app for real-time monitoring and trend analysis

How It Works
The skin-mounted sticker contains a passive MEMS pressure sensor that is wirelessly powered by an external reader worn as a wristband. The sensor detects arterial pressure fluctuations, and the data is transmitted via Bluetooth to a smartphone application for continuous monitoring and analysis.

Technology
- Passive MEMS Pressure Sensor: Capacitive microelectromechanical sensor embedded in a flexible substrate that directly measures arterial pressure through skin deformation
- RF Interrogation: External reader emits RF energy to wirelessly power the passive sensor, eliminating the need for batteries in the skin-mounted sticker
- Signal Modulation: Sensor modulates its electrical resonance in response to pressure changes, which is detected by the external reader
- Wireless Data Transmission: Processed pressure data is transmitted via Bluetooth from the wristband reader to a smartphone application
Patent-pending technology with unique combination of passive sensing and wireless power transfer
